THERMAL RIBBONS

James Labels & Supplies Ltd maintain a vast stock of ribbons for thermal printers. Our ribbons are designed with specific durability features for particular applications and budgets which are as follows:

WAX RIBBONS: Low-cost with medium-removal resistance developed specifically for rougher and uncoated tag and label stocks used throughout the world. Wax handles general purpose applications with ease. Wax works well at print speed up to 8", or 203mm per second, and provides a good print quality on both normal and rotated bar-codes.

WAX/RESIN ENHANCED RIBBONS: Increased removal resistance, for a small extra cost. The wax/resin enhanced ribbon has been developed as a general purpose wax ribbon that delivers superior energy efficiency. It provides excellent durability and ensures maximum scratch and smudge resistance. Recommended maximum print speed up to 12" or 303mm per second.

WAX/RESIN RIBBONS: Additional durability, designed for today's new high-speed, high-resolution printers, wax/resin ribbons deliver exceptional print quality for complex label formats that include logos or graphics, as well as normal and rotated or two dimensional bar-codes. Wax/Resin also offers an excellent scratch and smudge resistance and flexibility to print on a wide variety of substrates, ranging from coated papers to many different low and high-end films. Recommended print speed up to 12" or 303mm per second.

RESIN RIBBONS: Specifically designed to withstand harsh environment labelling applications, resin ribbons provide the highest level of resistance to abrasion, heat (300 degrees C on polyimide film), steam and various chemicals including gasoline, mineral spirits, engine oil, bleach, IPA, antifreeze and sulphuric acid. Produces outstanding prints for normal and rotated bar-codes. Recommended print speed up to 6" or 152mm per second.

COLOURED RIBBONS: In up to 12 colours including 4 process colours are available in all grades. James Labels & Supplies Ltd will be only too happy to assist you in selecting the best ribbon for your application.
